My name is Kristen.

i’m left-handed, i love earl grey tea, and i detest cooked carrots.

I’m a perpetual student, bookstore enthusiast, lifelong horse girl, formally-trained graphic and website designer, and self-proclaimed language nerd.

With degrees in Art and English, I’ve worked professionally in the Graphic Design and Marketing industries for over a decade as an in-house designer and creative strategist.

And one day I realized that I wasn’t loving my work anymore. I was no longer passionate about what I was working on, and in my gut I knew there was something missing that I desperately needed to find.

Between decisions around what to do next, I had the opportunity to take on a handful of personal projects, and was reminded that not only do I have the skillset to improve what I see visually for people, but I also wanted to continue to help build brands with solid messaging and a better understanding of where they wanted to go as a business or organization. I re-discovered that I actually enjoy listening to people talk about things they’re passionate about.

I needed to find projects I wanted to work on. And people I wanted to work with.

In short, I created this studio to pursue the kinds of projects and relationships with people that bring me joy in my day-to-day work, and to help business owners and individuals better their brands with strategic, thoughtful design.

things i enjoy:

  1. Reading. I’ll read just about anything. History. Nonfiction. Literary classics. How-To’s. Self-Development. And the absolute worst smut imaginable.

  2. Sports. If I’m not at my desk, I’m probably in a gym somewhere throwing weights around, playing something, or coaching.

  3. Traveling. Take me anywhere. [As long as it’s not in the middle of a very deep, very large body of water for any extended amount of time.]

I call Northeastern Wyoming home, where my husband and I continue to pretend that we know even a single thing about raising our soon-to-be kindergartener. Outside of my design work, I’m currently in the midst of several entrepreneurial endeavors with various members of my family, while also continuing to carve out a coaching career on the side.

I love being outside, laughing until my guts hurt, board games, a good vodka tonic, and being around people who push me to be better in every way.

I’m currently serving on boards at SAGE Community Arts, Tongue River Valley Scholarship Fund, and Tongue River Child’s Place.
